(on approaching 30)

In a soft light I look as youthful & lovely as ever I did, but not in the hard daylight. I like to say “Today I am beautiful”. I do not like to think that a day will come when I can no longer say it – and so endeavour with every means I can contrive to propitiate & divert time – as Scheherazade did her Caliph – Time is my Caliph.
