Edith speaks

I’m not sure how this has eluded me until now, but I’ve just stumbled across this 1959 interview with Edith Sitwell (who was born on this day in 1887), in which she talks about her terrible childhood and her encounters with Marilyn Monroe.

And naturally I thought you should see it:

  1. As Edith and I share a birthday, I’ve always thought of her as my patron saint.

  2. JAY

Coming from a background of Wyndham Lewis scholarship I have naturally a certain bias against the Sitwells however I can’t help but like Edith watching this.
